This dwarfgoby lives in a single odd partnership, always found beside an unidentified tubeworm that builds stick like tubes rising about thirty centimetres off the silty sand. It keeps to a narrow band between roughly 20 and 35 metres, and so little is known of it that the IUCN lists it as Data Deficient.
