Sessile Hydrozoan

Hebella scandens

Sessile Hydrozoan

This colonial hydroid favours sheltered inlets and bays, including the roots of mangroves, and ranges out onto reefs down to around 30 metres. As with other hydroids it adds a tiny drifting medusa to its life cycle to colonise new ground.
