A tiny deep sea anglerfish barely the length of a thumbnail, the female dangles a glowing lure above her head and trails a branching, light tipped barbel from her chin to draw prey through the dark. She lives in the open ocean down to around a thousand metres. As in other deep sea anglers, the dwarf male simply fuses to her body to breed.
