Brilliant blue and gold in life, the dolphinfish is one of the fastest growing fish in the sea, reaching breeding size within months. Males develop a high blunt forehead, and schools roam open water taking almost any fish along with squid and crustaceans. It can stretch past two metres, and some catches carry a risk of ciguatera poisoning.
