This is the classic remora, riding sharks, big fish, turtles and even ships by means of a ridged sucking disc on top of its head. It tucks into gill chambers and along the body of its host, picking off parasitic copepods, and the younger ones work hardest as cleaners. Now and then it lets go and swims free.
