Banded Ophiocoma

A small brittle star banded along its arms, this ophiocoma tucks into seagrass beds and among corals from about 10 metres down past 360. It feeds by sweeping detritus and fine particles toward its mouth with its flexible arms, hiding away in the structure of the reef by day.
