Polychaete
Spirobranchus tetraceros
- Group: Other
- Typical depth: 2–36 m
A reef worm that cements a hard limestone tube straight into living coral, leaving only a crown of feathery tentacles showing. Those tentacles fan out to filter drifting food and pull back in a blink, and the species fouls hard surfaces in shallow water down to about 36 metres.
