A streamlined baleen whale, Eden's whale lunges through schools of fish with its throat ballooning open to engulf prey and water in a single gulp. It feeds near coasts and over shelf waters, often in loose groups of ten to twenty, and reaches around fifteen metres. The IUCN lists it as Least Concern.
