This little goby lives in a razor thin band of habitat at the edge of the tide on sheltered shores of Kangaroo Island, over sand and mud with broken shell. Tied to a tiny patch of southern Australia and sometimes sheltering among sparse eelgrass, it is considered vulnerable.
