Fleshy Donax

Latona incarnata

Fleshy Donax

A small wedge shaped clam of tropical surf beaches, it lives buried in the sand of exposed shores alongside other donax clams. It rides the tides up and down the beach, so erosion and the monsoon seasons reshape where it can live.
