A firm, rounded sea star of hard bottoms, the obese henricia ranges from intertidal rocks down to about two hundred and forty metres. Like other members of its family it feeds by filtering fine particles and drawing in the thin film of organic matter on the surfaces it crosses, and it is harmless.
