Corals

Pavona minuta

Corals

This reef coral builds plates and columns across upper reef slopes and other reef settings, ranging from about fifteen to fifty metres. Algae living in its tissue supply much of its food, leaving it prone to bleaching, and heavy losses in Palau help explain its Vulnerable listing.
