A long, slender predator of deep lagoons, channels and seaward reefs, the green jobfish ranges down to roughly 180 metres and reaches well over a metre. It chases fishes, shrimp, crabs and squid in open water, and big individuals can turn ciguatoxic despite being prized eating.
