Banded Grunter

Pomadasys furcatus

Banded Grunter

This grunter haunts sandy patches near rocks in coastal waters around 10 to 20 metres down, growing to about half a metre. It earns its family name from the grunting sounds these fish make with the swim bladder, and its flesh is sold fresh though it softens quickly.
