Red Sea Mimic Blenny

Ecsenius gravieri

Red Sea Mimic Blenny

This little Red Sea blenny mimics the venomous fang blenny so closely that predators leave it alone, a borrowed warning it has none of itself. It glues its eggs to a hard surface, and the planktonic larvae drift in coastal shallows before settling.
