This rockskipper is a small blenny of the rocky intertidal, at home in the surge and spray where it clings to rock and darts between crevices. It lays adhesive eggs that the male guards, glued to the substrate until the planktonic larvae hatch and drift into shallow coastal water. It grows to about twenty centimetres.
