This little blenny grazes algae from rocky and coral surfaces across shallow reef flats, lagoons and seaward reefs, rarely venturing past a few metres of depth. It lives alone in weedy patches of mixed coral, sand and rubble, scraping its food off hard surfaces with comblike teeth.
