The bluespine unicornfish carries two forward pointing blades on each side of its tail and, in adults, a blunt horn rising from the forehead. It grazes tough leafy brown algae like Sargassum along surge swept reefs and channels, usually in small groups. It reaches about seventy centimetres and can carry ciguatera.
