Bouvier's Banded Snapping Shrimp

A banded snapping shrimp of intertidal and shallow water, Bouvier's shrimp turns up on sand, mud, rock and dead coral around the tide line. Its larger claw closes with a loud snap, a sound that carries through the shallows.
