Named for the bony bumps on its head, the fourhorn sculpin lives in cold brackish and lightly salty coastal water and can push far up rivers or stay landlocked in lakes. It rests on the bottom and makes only short seasonal moves between shallow and deeper water. It grows to about sixty centimetres.
