Stout Longtom

Built like a living spear, this longtom cruises just under the surface of coastal reefs and estuaries on a slim body tipped with long, beaklike jaws. It lays eggs that cling to floating objects by fine tendrils on their surface. It can reach about three quarters of a metre.
