A master of disguise, the longlure frogfish takes on the colour of the sponge it sits among, with eye like spots that mimic the sponge's own openings. It dangles a lure to draw in prey, then engulfs passing fish and shrimp in a sudden gulp, and grows to about twenty centimetres on shallow reefs.
