Scarecrow Toadfish

A stout, blotchy toadfish that lies still on the bottom, the scarecrow toadfish looks sluggish but turns pugnacious when something crowds it too closely. Older fish develop a darker mouth lining, and like other toadfishes it can grunt using its swim bladder.
