Black with bright yellow flecks, this angelfish patrols shallow Caribbean reefs in pairs, often near sea fans. It bites at sponges, algae, bryozoans and tunicates, and the two partners defend their patch hard against neighbouring pairs. Juveniles set up cleaning stations, picking parasites off larger visitors.
