A small blenny of shallow weedy reefs and tide pools, it perches among the rocks waiting for the surge to bring food. The female fixes her eggs to the rock with an adhesive pad, and the larvae drift off into shallow water. So little is recorded of it that its conservation status remains Data Deficient.
