Isthmian Goby

Gobiosoma spilotum

Isthmian Goby

This goby was collected by the dozens from the Gatun locks and Limon Bay at the Atlantic mouth of the Panama Canal, living in brackish water over rock and algae. Its very limited home leaves it endangered, even where the fish itself is locally abundant.
