The zebra bullhead shark wears bold dark bars down a stocky body and crawls over shelf bottoms on stiff paired fins, reaching depths of fifty metres in some waters and two hundred in others. It feeds on bottom invertebrates and small fish, and lays spiral cased eggs that it wedges into crevices.
