A slender dartfish that hovers just above the seabed, the Arabian dartfish bolts into a burrow at the first sign of danger. It shares those burrows with snapping shrimp and partner gobies, a quiet alliance of digger and lookout. It grows to about 11 centimetres and lives between roughly 2 and 15 metres.
