The bigfin shrimpgoby shares a burrow with snapping shrimps over sandy and silty slopes, typically between about 20 and 40 metres but recorded much deeper. The shrimp keeps the home dug out while the sharp eyed goby stands watch at the entrance. It grows to about eight centimetres.
