Twin dark bars mark the doublebar goatfish, which sometimes schools over lagoon and seaward reefs. It drags its chin barbels through the bottom for crustaceans by day and takes fish, crab larvae and worms by night, ranging to about 80 metres. It grows to about 35 centimetres.
