The Elat electric ray is a small bottom dweller of the outer shelf in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, growing to under twenty centimetres. Like other electric rays it carries paired organs in the disc that generate a shock, and it likely feeds on soft bottom worms and crustaceans, though specimens are rare and little studied.
