A versatile dwarfgoby of turbid coastal water, this species rests on the bottom over fine sand and coral rubble, usually solitary, between about 9 and 15 metres but ranging down to 30. It also settles on consolidated coral rising off silty bottoms, comfortable where the water is cloudy.
