Twilight Fangblenny

Meiacanthus phaeus

Twilight Fangblenny

This fangblenny carries venomous fangs in its lower jaw, a bite that makes predators spit it out and leave it alone. It lives over shallow reef between about three and twelve metres, sticking adhesive eggs to the bottom for the larvae to drift away from.
