The largest goby in the Caribbean wears a long, eel like body and tiny eyes set in a slightly menacing face, which has earned it the aquarium nickname dragon goby. It lives in muddy bays, estuaries and river mouths, sliding easily between salt and fresh water, and despite its looks it is a peaceful filter feeder that sifts the bottom for tiny food.
