Bigmouth Sleeper

A heavy bodied freshwater predator of the Americas, the bigmouth sleeper lies on the bottom of clear, free flowing streams, often well inland, resting on logs, stones and leaf litter while it waits to ambush prey. It grows to around ninety centimetres and ranks among the larger members of the sleeper goby family.
