An eel tailed catfish of turbid coastal reefs around northern Australia, the Kimberley catfish hunts snails and crustaceans, most likely by night. It grows to about 27 centimetres and trails barbels around its mouth to taste the bottom. Like its relatives it carries sharp, potentially nasty fin spines.
