Blueback Blue-Eye

This tiny blue eye, barely four centimetres long, lives in mangrove swamps and very salty creeks running into estuaries, drifting over muddy bottoms in large gatherings. It copes with hypersaline water and warm temperatures, and breeds readily in aquaria where its eggs hatch in about two weeks.
