A large solitary anemone of Caribbean rocky bottoms and coral reefs, the giant Caribbean anemone spreads its tentacles across subtidal rock and even mangrove roots. Each tentacle often ends in a coloured tip, and small shrimps and clownfish style partners shelter unharmed among the stinging arms.
