Jorge's Soft Coral

Alcyonium jorgei

Jorge's Soft Coral

Jorge's soft coral clings to steep and vertical rock in sheltered fjords and bays, where sediment stays low and the water moves gently, at depths between fifteen and thirty five metres. It is harmless, a soft bodied colony of polyps rather than a stony reef builder.
