Maze Brain Coral

The maze brain coral builds rounded heads grooved with winding ridges and valleys that really do resemble a maze. It grows on rocks, reef slopes and lagoon floors down to about forty metres, with each colony made of countless tiny polyps sharing one stony skeleton.
