Crescent Octopus

Euaxoctopus panamensis

Crescent Octopus

A small octopus reaching about 20 centimetres, the crescent octopus lives on soft bottoms in the subtidal zone, often down to around 50 metres. Like its kin it can pour its boneless body through gaps and shift colour in an instant. So little has been recorded that science still rates its status as data deficient.
