Chinese Mud Lobster

Austinogebia wuhsienweni

Chinese Mud Lobster

This burrowing crustacean digs tunnels through soft mud on the sea floor, and the young ones measured so far reach only about three to five centimetres. Like other mud lobsters it shifts sediment as it builds its galleries, helping turn over the muddy bottom it lives in.
