Half-Propellor Ark

Trisidos semitorta

Half-Propellor Ark

This ark shell has a strangely twisted form, lying half buried in current swept sand and gravel with its propeller like rear end resting flat on the surface. The exposed shell often ends up eroded and colonised by other animals, while juveniles attach inside empty shells of their own kind.
