Known only from shallow inshore waters off Queensland, this small frogfish was first described from four individuals found sharing a single space. Most frogfishes ambush prey and even eat one another, so the peaceful coexistence of those four was unusual. It grows to about six centimetres and walks the bottom on hand like fins.
