Getting help from a human
Email us, from Settings or from a browser. Here's what to put in the message.
Write to us at support@divemates.app. In the app that's Divemates → Settings → Support → Email Us, which starts the message in whatever mail app you use.
If you'd rather do it from a computer, divemates.app/contact reaches the same inbox: pick Support as the topic. We reply to whatever address you wrote from.
If you'd rather chat
Divemates → Settings → Support → Chat on Discord opens our Discord. It's the quicker way to ask something small, or to hear how other divers handled it. Anything about your own account, a file, or a dive that looks wrong is better by email, where we can dig into it properly.
What to put in the message
The things that save a round trip:
- what you were doing, in a line
- what happened, and what you expected instead
- your app version, at the very bottom of Divemates → Settings, under the heart (it reads "Version" and then two numbers)
- which phone you're on, and which version of iOS or Android it's running
If it's about one particular dive, the date and the dive site narrow it down faster than anything else. A screenshot of whatever you're looking at is worth a paragraph of describing it.
If it's about an import
Report it from the import itself rather than writing to us cold. It reaches us with the exact file you uploaded attached, which is most of the answer already. See "My import failed".
Everything else, just write. A message with too much detail has never been a problem.
