Your card in Apple or Google Wallet

Add your diver card once, and it keeps itself current as you dive.

Go to Divemates → Settings → Integrations. On iPhone you'll find Add to Apple Wallet there, and on Android Add to Google Wallet. Tap it once and you're done.

Note: on iPhone the Wallet section is skipped when the device has no Wallet at all, which is why the page can look empty. That's the phone, not your account.

What's on the card

The card shows your name, how many dives you've logged, the date of your last one, and your top certification with its number if you entered one. Alongside it sits your fuller credential list and the insurance a shop would ask about.

That list is distilled rather than exhaustive: for each agency and kind of diving it carries the highest level you hold rather than every step up to it, and your specialties are all there.

The QR is your eCard, the same page a shop gets when it scans you in person. See "What a shop sees on your eCard" for exactly what's on that page.

It updates itself

Once the card is in your Wallet, we rebuild it whenever something on it changes: a dive logged, a certification or specialty added, an insurance policy renewed, your name edited. You never reinstall anything.

Updates are batched for a moment before they go out, so importing a season of diving lands as one refresh rather than a hundred. On iPhone the new version is pushed to Wallet quietly, and on Android we hand it to Google, which updates the card on your devices.

Note: switching your eCard link off makes the QR on your card stop resolving, and switching it back on brings the same QR back to life. Generating a new link is the one that changes the card, and the card picks that up on its own. See "Showing your eCard to a dive shop".

When the card is clearly behind

First, check it's actually stale. Only what's on the card counts, so editing a dive's notes or a site name changes nothing you'd see there.

If it's genuinely out of date:

• On iPhone, tap the card in Wallet, tap the More button, and make sure Automatic Updates is on. Apple lets you switch that off per card, and switched off means we can't reach it.
• Still behind? Remove the card, then add it again from Divemates → Settings → Integrations. Adding builds a fresh one from scratch, so it comes back current.
• If you're told cards aren't available right now, that one's on us. Try again a little later.

Note: on iPhone, removing a pass takes it off every device you're signed in to with the same Apple Account.

Removing the card changes nothing else. Your certifications, your insurance and your eCard all stay exactly where they were.
